Northern and Southern Affiliates Program 2024-25

The Affiliates Program is open to experienced dance students ages 9 – 17 who have a passion for dance and strive to deepen their practice of classical ballet.

Who is this program for?

Dance students across Alberta, ages 9-17, who:

• have a minimum of 1-2 years of ballet training
• are eager to commit additional studio time to advance their ballet technique
• are able to commit one Sunday per month in Calgary or Edmonton for intensive training

The goal of the program is to connect ballet students who live outside of Calgary and Edmonton to the experience of Alberta Ballet School's curriculum. Students train in Calgary or in Edmonton at the Alberta Ballet Studios for intensive full-day programs with the Alberta Ballet School faculty.

This unique training regime gives dance students outside of these major centres supports students who want to deepen their training pursuits by engaging the Alberta Ballet School curriculum in addition to their other weekly dance activities. The program is entering its fourth year in Calgary and its second year in Edmonton.
