The Alberta Ballet School High School Ballet Diploma is offered to students who are enrolled in our Enrichment Program with a strong interest in ballet and who wish to earn a credential that recognizes the many hours of training and practice they have devoted to dance. The ballet series of courses offered by Alberta Ballet School supports our students who wish to train in a school environment with the highest standards and provides an opportunity for our students to specialize in ballet and develop their ballet technique, creativity, artistry and musicality. Students will earn high school credits for ballet classes, complete an intermediate ballet exam, volunteer within the school and the outside community and participate in performance/workshop events. Students who complete the Diploma Program will be presented with a High School Ballet Diploma.
The Diploma Program is designed as a 3-year program of study. Students who enter the program in Grade 11 or 12 may still be eligible to obtain the Diploma but may not receive all 15, 25 and 35 level course credit prior to graduation.
To participate, an assessment of the dancer's level by Alberta Ballet School is required and a Program Administration Fee is applied to the student's dance class tuition.
