The Summer Intensive is a great option for dance students to explore a short-term commitment to intensive professional ballet training.

It's also an opportunity to be considered for placement in our full-year Professional Division Program

The 2023 Summer Intensive takes place July 17 through August 4 in Calgary, Alberta. This 3-week program includes Ballet, Pointe Work, Pas de Deux (for select levels), Repertoire, Variations, Contemporary, Character Dance and Body Conditioning.

• Why Alberta Ballet School?

  Alberta Ballet School attracts students from around the world to this 3-week program, that advances ballet technique and artistry through:

• An internationally-recognized ballet curriculum
• Mentorship and instruction from experienced faculty, guest teachers and Alberta Ballet's professional dancers

We also offer a Summer Residence program for visiting students. Residence life during Summer Intensive is designed to create a fun, memorable experience, forging strong social connections in a peer group that shares a passion for dance and ballet.

How do I audition?

Our live and virtual audition opportunities are now closed, however, you can still audition for the 2023 Summer Intensive or 2023-2024 Professional Division program via video submission.
