Academic Program Assistant

The Academic Department of Alberta Ballet School is seeking a part-time Academic Program Assistant working out of the schools downtown location in Calgary Alberta. This position is a 10 month term contract with a start date of August 26th, 2019 until June 30, 2020.

Accompanist

Alberta Ballet School is looking for an experienced Accompanist/Pianist to support the School as an Accompanist for ballet classes. Reporting to the Department Head,  Accompanists support ballet instructors in both Professional and Open Division ballet classes at the  Alberta Ballet School downtown Calgary by supplying live music for training and rehearsals.

Front Desk Reception

Our organization is seeking candidates for a Front Desk Receptionist to assist with our School on an ongoing basis.  This position will be a part-time hourly with an expected commitment of approximately 20 to 30 hours per week (Tuesday - Friday).

Preschool Ballet Teacher

Assistant Carpenter

Alberta Ballet Company is currently seeking candidates for Assistant Carpenter for the company's upcoming season (seasonal contract: Sept 2019 - May 2020)

Reporting to the Head Carpenter, the incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and installation of company scenery in performance venues. The incumbent ensures good relationships with a variety of interest groups, including casual labour, IATSE locals and personnel, the performing arts industry and the community at large.

Head Electrician

Alberta Ballet Company is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Head Electrician for the 2019 - 2020 company season (seasonal term contract:  September 2019 - May 2020).  

Reporting to the Technical Director, the incumbent is responsible for maintenance and operation of company lighting and special effects equipment. The incumbent ensures good relations with a variety of interest groups, including casual labour, IATSE locals and personnel, the performing arts industry and the community at large.

Head of Props

Alberta Ballet Company is seeking experienced candidates for the Head of Props for the company.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and installation of company dance floor and props in performance venues and assisting the Head Carpenter as required. The incumbent ensures good relationships with a variety of interest groups, including casual labour, IATSE locals and personnel, the performing arts industry and the community at large.

Manager, Ticketing Services

We are seeking experienced candidate for the position of Manager, Ticketing Services.  Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Manager of Ticketing Services is responsible for all areas of ticket sales with special attention to sales targets, customer service, and reporting. This is a full time, mid-level management position training part time and casual ticketing representatives for the season to meet the goals of the organization.

Stage Manager

Alberta Ballet Company is one of Canada's premier dance companies with a commitment to an artistic vision of powerfully exciting dance.

We are currently seeking candidates for a Stage Manager position with the Company.  The Stage Manager is responsible for the stage management of company productions in rehearsal and performance and will provide support to the Artistic Director, Associate Artistic Director, Ballet Mistress/Master and the Technical Director.

Ticketing Services Coordinator

We are seeking candidates for the position of Ticketing Services Coordinator (Part-Time) to work with our Box Office / Sales operations team.  This position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week and may fluctuate depending on performance events and schedules.
